Job Description

ONC BOCES is accepting applications for Licensed Teaching Assistants:

1 full-time in Welding at OAOC in Milford

1 full-time in Building Trades at OAOC in Milford

1 part-time in Cosmetology at OAOC in Milford

1 full-time and 1 part-time in Special Education at OAOC in Milford

Full-time positions in Special Education at NCOC in Grand Gorge

Salary: $20,735 plus up to an additional $600 for college credits

NYS retirement, EAP, continuing education assistance, and exceptional insurance, including retiree health insurance, are available.

Job Qualifications

Qualifications and Responsibilities: NYS Licensed Teaching Assistant certification or any valid NYS Teacher certification required. Applicants must be able to perform all essential job functions with or without accommodations, including performing physical restraints, as necessary, in accordance with TCI training.

Application Procedure

Civil Service position candidates must be reachable on the existing eligibility list. If there is no mandated eligibility list, candidates will be considered for provisional appointment. Continued employment will be contingent on successfully passing the required examination and being reached on the eligibility list.

The selected applicant will be subject to a fingerprint support criminal history background check in accordance with SAVE Legislation effective July 1, 2001.
