Job Description

We seek a dedicated and detail-oriented CDL A/B Coordinator to oversee and enhance our Entry Level Driver Training (ELDT) program. This role ensures compliance with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) and New York State Department of Motor Vehicles (NYS DMV) regulations while fostering a high-quality student learning experience. The CDL A/B Coordinator will work closely with driving instructors, students, higher education institutions, and industry partners to expand and strengthen our program within the region. Key Responsibilities:

Ensure program alignment with FMCSA and NYS DMV regulations and standards.

Collaborate with driving instructors to create and promote a comprehensive learning experience for ELDT students.

Coordinate class schedules, driving sessions, and testing appointments between students and instructors.

Establish and maintain relationships with higher education institutions and industry partners to enhance program growth and workforce development opportunities.

Manage administrative tasks, including records retention, grant administration, and compliance documentation.

Monitor program effectiveness and recommend improvements to enhance student outcomes.

Stay up-to-date on industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in CDL training.

Assist with student recruitment and enrollment to ensure program sustainability and growth.

Other duties as assigned to support the overall success of the program.

Hourly position as needed: $25/hour

 

Job Qualifications

Qualified candidates will meet the following requirements:

Minimum of a Class B CDL license.

Knowledge of FMCSA and NYS DMV regulations regarding CDL training and certification.

Experience in coordinating training programs, preferably in CDL or vocational education.

Prior experience working in CDL training, transportation, or a related field.

Strong organizational and communication skills.

Ability to develop and maintain relationships with students, instructors, and industry stakeholders.

Proficiency in administrative tasks such as scheduling, record-keeping, and grant work.

Experience in an educational or workforce development setting is a plus.
