Job Description

ONC BOCES is accepting applications for an Elementary Special Education Teacher Long-term Substitute located at OAOC in Milford.

In a special education program, each role plays a distinct yet complementary part in supporting students with diverse needs. The teacher is responsible for designing and implementing the curriculum, creating lesson plans, assessing student progress and overseeing the overall educational experience of the students.

The position will be to cover a leave of absence starting around mid-November 2025.

Salary: Per board policy/contract.

Job Qualifications

Current NYS Students with Disabilities or NYS Special Education certification is required.

Civil Service position candidates must be reachable on the existing eligibility list. If there is no mandated eligibility list, candidates will be considered for provisional appointment. Continued employment will be contingent on successfully passing the required examination and being reached on the eligibility list.
