The Administrative Aide provides comprehensive clerical, logistical, and operational support to the Work-Based Learning program. This position ensures the smooth day-to-day administration of student placements, event coordination, and mandatory reporting. By maintaining meticulous records and coordinating logistics, the Administrative Aide plays a vital role in ensuring ONC BOCES WBL programs remain compliant, organized, and run efficiently.

Salary: $37,000—$43,000

Reports to: Director of Student Services / Work-Based Learning Instructor

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Arrange transportation, travel details, and scheduling logistics for all student WBL placements, field trips, and job-shadowing experiences.

  • Manage the calendar and scheduling for the College & Career Zones at both student centers to coordinate student participation in career activities.

  • Provide administrative and logistical support for planning and executing major events, including College Days, Career Fairs, educational forums, and Advisory dinners.

  • Scheduling, room booking, and logistical organization of Career Centers and WBL events, including Advisory dinners, College Days, and Career Fairs.

  • Input and maintain accurate digital and/or paper records of student participation, cumulative hours, student evaluations, and required compliance documentation for all WBL activities.

  • Maintain detailed, up-to-date rosters of all students actively participating in work-based placements and internships.

  • Maintain, update, and organize the tracking database used for annual WBL site reviews, approved locations, learning opportunities, students served, and job offers.

  • Organize and compile paperwork required for the NYSED re-approval process for CTE programs.

Communication and Information Dissemination:

  • Disseminate information, resources, and updates regarding college articulation agreements to component school counselors, students, and families.

  • Gather summaries, metrics, and highlights of workforce development activities for public relations and community engagement.

  • Communicate clearly, professionally, and promptly via oral, written, and electronic formats with internal staff, component school districts, and external industry partners.

Specially Designed Instruction Specialist

The Specially Designed Instruction Specialist strengthens instructional practices for students with disabilities by providing high-quality regional training, targeted professional development, and embedded coaching across a five-county region. Working as part of the Southeast Regional Partnership Center (RPC), the Specialist supports districts in implementing evidence-based Specially Designed Instruction aligned with the New York State Education Department (NYSED) Office of Special Education priorities.

This role requires strong facilitation skills, deep knowledge of SDI, and the ability to collaborate with educators, administrators, families, and statewide partners. The Specialist promotes equitable access, improves instructional outcomes, and builds district capacity through coaching, data-informed decision-making, and consistent implementation of NYSED-approved practices.

Salary: $68,863 plus additional for education, experience and summer per diem

Reports to: Systems Change Facilitator

Primary Responsibilities

  • Regional Training — Provide NYSED-aligned training on Specially Designed Instruction for educators across the five-county region, based on the regional planning process.

    Targeted Professional Development — Deliver focused PD and embedded coaching within identified districts to strengthen SDI implementation and improve outcomes for students with disabilities.

  • Use of NYSED-Approved Tools — Implement tools, resources, and training materials developed or approved by NYSED’s Office of Special Education and Contracted Technical Assistance Providers (TAPs).

  • Cross-Agency Collaboration — Work collaboratively with Family and Community Engagement Centers to provide learning opportunities for educators, families, and community agencies across ONC and DCMO BOCES regions.

  • Regional Partnership Work — Collaborate with NYSED Special Education Quality Assurance (SEQA) Liaisons and NYSED Special Education Quality Assurance (TAPs) to carry out the regional work plan and ensure alignment with statewide priorities.

  • Professional Learning Participation — Attend statewide PD sessions, monthly webinars, online learning opportunities, and bimonthly regional meetings as required by NYSED.

  • Data & Reporting — Submit training data, coaching logs, and required documentation to TAPs and NYSED in the established formats.

  • Other Duties — Perform additional responsibilities as assigned to support the RPC mission and regional needs.

Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant

Our Occupational Therapists deliver services to students in a variety of ways, including providing consultation, collaborating with the student’s educational team, and develop and implement strategies that enable students to access and participate more successfully in their educational settings at all times, not just when the therapist is present.

Salary: $35,000 - $40,000

School Psychologist

ONC BOCES is anticipating a need for a full-time School Psychologist.

The goal of psychological services is to provide the precise information on a student’s academic and emotional status so that he or she receives the most appropriate education. Psychologists administer a variety of educational tests to help teachers better understand the learning style of the student. They serve as consultants to teachers and counselors, provide direct counseling to students who are experiencing problems, provide support to parents, and serve as a resource to the CSE.

2026-2027 School Year:
Starting Base Salary: $51,830
Plus $525 per year of experience

English as a New Language Teacher

ONC BOCES is accepting applications for a full-time English as a New Language Teacher.

The successful candidates will provide direct and indirect instructional support to students who come from a home where a language other than English is spoken. The instructor will provide services in accordance with Part 154 of the Commissioner’s Regulations for Pupils with Limited English Proficiency.

Behavior Specialist

The Behavior Specialist is a key member of our Special Education and Related Services team that provides support in relation to the behavior management of students with disabilities in the least restrictive environment within the BOCES and districts.  The Behavior Specialist provides training, dissemination of information, consultation, and resources to teachers, administrators, and other related service providers to ensure our students are successful.

The ideal candidate for the Behavior Specialist position will have a proven track record of working with challenging students to improve their behaviors. They should also be familiar with a variety of evaluation tools and have experience administering functional behavioral assessments and creating behavior intervention plans. They should also have knowledge of the Multi-Tiered Systems of Support, the ability to collect and analyze data, and classroom and behavior management experience while working with students with disabilities. 

Salary: $50,000 - $60,000

Civil Service Job Description:

This position involves providing training, dissemination of information, consultation and resources related to the behavior management of students with disabilities in the least restrictive environment to teachers of school age students and pre-school students with disabilities, general education classroom teachers, administrators, and related service providers. Work is performed under the supervision of the Special Education Administration. Does related work as required.

Duties include but are not limited to:

Provide oversight of Functional Behavioral Assessments.

Organize, develop, collaborate with component districts and Special Education Administrator on FBA format

Write, co-write, develop, implement, and oversee Behavior Intervention Plans for students with special education team.

Oversee development of all BIP's

Virtual Tutors - ELA 7-12 and Students with Disabilities

ONC BOCES is accepting applications for Virtual English Language Arts 7–12 and Students with Disabilities Instructors/Tutors.

The number of tutors and hours will vary based on district requests. The selected candidates will provide remote tutoring to students who are learning remotely.

Availability between 8:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. is preferred.

School Social Worker

ONC BOCES is accepting applications for a full-time School Social Worker.

The selected candidate will collaborate with schools for clinical services including identifying behavioral health needs. They will provide students with individual and small group counseling with the overriding goal of helping them to achieve academic and life-long success. Specific goals for the student are often determined by the district’s Committee on Special Education and reports of progress are forwarded by the Social Worker every 10 weeks during the academic year. Support is provided on both the individual student and district-wide level using a variety of modalities and Trauma Informed practices.

Teacher of Students with Speech and Language Disabilities/Speech Language Pathologist

Anticipated one full-time position.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing speech services to students in component school districts. The positions will deliver speech articulation and expressive and receptive language skills in accordance with NYS education standards and student IEPs.

CDL A and CDL B Driving Instructors

ONC BOCES is seeking hourly CDL-A and CDL-B Driving Instructors

Qualified applicants will have a valid NYS CDL-A driver’s license. They will have experience driving a manual tractor-trailer, manual dump truck and/or other applicable CDL vehicle, have strong communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to effectively train and mentor adult students.

Responsibilities: Train adult students to drive CDL-A and CDL-B vehicles, collaborate with the Adult Education Coordinator to schedule students and driving times, and upload student data onto the Federal Motor Carrier's Safety Administration website.

Flexible hours available.

Salary: $35/hour, as needed.
